UnForgiveness taking up Rent in Your Head

Forgiveness
Release from the past all negativity as it holds us back from achieving Gods Purpose for our lives and fully loving God and those around us and does nothing to change the circumstances or outcomes. If there are unresolved situations, Give All to God and He Will Open the Right Door. If forgiveness is needed, Forgive. Release that part of your heart so that God can use all of your Heart for His Kingdom. Holding onto a person’s wrongdoing does nothing to anyone but you. It holds you back from Blessings, from Love, from Self-Care and keeps that part of your heart in darkness. Let His Light in to All of your Heart and He will Heal All. Pray for Healing over Hurtful situations. He is our Father and understands we live in a fallen world which is why Jesus went away so that the Holy Spirit could dwell in each of us and be The Counselor, The Light In each Believer. Someone once told me that holding onto anger towards someone was the same as "letting them rent space in your heart and head".

Have you noticed how different people can say the same thing but then someone says something, and it just hits your heart.  This did to me.  God knows when we are ready to learn or absorb those “nuggets” spiritually. I know that can be frustrating because I think that sometimes I’m ready when I’m not.  Sometimes, the human Lisa will forge ahead and well, not be ready.  I’ve learned to yes, wait.  Let God lead.  He is a gentleman.  He’s not going to burst in the door before you open your mouth or go to someone’s house and make a grand gesture that you’ll regret later and get in front of you and I say, “No, no, no…l really don’t think this is a good idea.”  It may work like that on your favorite TV series but God is going to let me put my foot in my mouth.  Until we come to him, wounded, hurt, angry, unforgiving, until we get it.  He will love us anyway although He’ll allow us to suffer the consequences because He’s the ultimate Parent.  So, let’s get back to the “taking up rent in your head and hurt.”  Think about that for a moment.  Say, you’re an adult and someone really wounded you bad.  Not only are you thinking about it all the time and it’s taking away precious PRESENT time but the Holy Spirit can’t heal your whole heart because you’re holding on to part of it and letting that person own that piece.  And that person has moved on to something else.  Better yet, and we already know this, many times, we find out that people that hurt other people are hurting inside because of something totally unrelated to you.  They don’t know what to do with that THING they are hurting about so it comes out in other ways.  There are a lot of HURTING people walking around.  Just look at the media, social media, all of media.

There is GOOD NEWS in that God HEALS.  God LOVES.  GOD FORGIVES HIS CHILDREN.  However, we need to be HIS CHILD.  What does that mean?  Lisa, what about Grace and Mercy?  Yes, if you are Saved and Believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, that’s the first step in a Refining Process.  John 15:1-4 talks about pruning the grape vine, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.  We could do an entire bible study on these verses alone.  Jesus is the Vine that God sent down so that he could die for all of our sins.  God is the gardener and John makes it clear that he is in 100% control of the vineyard.  No one else.  We aren’t.  He plants the vines, cultivates them and nurtures them and cuts off those who bear no fruit or who don’t “walk the walk”.  What are the two great Commandments?

The Lord our God, The Lord is One; Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind", and, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."

What does God do the branches that do bear fruit?  He prunes them so that they will be even more fruitful.  This is also the last “I AM” statement in the book of John.  God is the Great I AM.  He is the Alpha, the Omega.  Jesus says in these verses that we are already clean as believers who are walking Gods Path, allowing Him to Prune us.  Giving Him all of us.  Now, we come back to forgiveness and this means letting go of anger towards anyone and forgiving everyone.  For it says in Matthew 6:14, For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  I don’t know how much clearer the Bible can be.  The Bible is the Living Word, yesterday, today and tomorrow.  Give everything over to God and He will Heal and Restore.

Open your hearts to God, be Joyful to His Pruning.

Lisa
